I believe the best photos are the ones you can feel: where you immediately experience the love and joy of the moment captured, rather than a memory of discomfort or awkwardness. Whether it’s your wedding day, a family shoot or an equine portrait session, the key to it all is connection, so it’s my job to help you feel totally at ease and then capture that moment forever.
To do this, I always prioritise fun.
This doesn’t mean slapstick comedy or forced fun (that’s no better than awkward posing, in my opinion), but in working with freedom and creativity. We’ll get to know each other, we’ll feel relaxed, and we’ll have a good laugh whilst doing it. The result is an environment where you feel no pressure or pretence, and can just totally enjoy being with your loved ones, human or animal. That way, you’ll relish the moment and make memories to cherish. Winner winner, right?
When I’m not behind the camera, I’m usually reading (fantasy, romance, or romantasy for me), or spending chilled times with my friends, drinking decaf coffee or red wine (I love a glass of rosé too) – and if that ends with a lovely dairy-free ice cream or sorbet, who am I to stop it? (Not been to Jack’s Gelato in Cambridge? You have to go).
I love taking my dog to agility lessons and long walks in the countryside, and spending time with my horse on long hacks, eventing, and competing in working hunter classes. You can also often find me playing rugby, which is up there with horse riding as one of the best sports and I won’t hear otherwise!
You spend more time outside than in.
