How To Pick A Photographer For Your Photoshoot…

Your choice in photographer can make or break your photoshoot experience.

It’s true! Choosing the wrong photographer for you can result in:

  • You feeling awkward

  • The photographer creating images that you don’t really like

  • An experience you’d rather forget, than cherish

And no one wants any of these things…

So how do you pick the right photographer for you?

You start with interacting with photographers as much as possible online. Take a look at their images, initiate conversations with them. Go to their website and blog. Then you narrow down your shortlist based on:

  • Who’s images and editing style you love most?

  • Who do you get on with best?

  • Who is consistent in photography style?

You may also want to consider location and budget within this. But remember, when it comes to services like photographer, you often get what you pay for so don’t automatically go for the cheapest option!

You’ve narrowed down the list to one photographer, what next?

You get on a phone call. I cannot stress this enough. Book an enquiry call with them, discuss what you want from the photography and ask the photographer any burning questions.

This is your chance to really get to know the photographer and what they are like to work with. If you don’t feel like you get on very well, don’t book them. Believe me when I say a photographer would much rather you book another photographer who you know you’ll love the images of, than risk getting a mediocre experience because you just went with the first one you talked to. We want you to love the work we produce for you.

Choosing a photographer is simple, really. Make sure you love their style of photographer, and you get on well with them, and you won’t go far wrong.

On that note… If you want as me as your wedding/equine/family photographer, you can book an enquiry call here!
