What To Bring To Your Equine Photoshoot

Do you know what you need to bring to your photoshoot?

There are some things that are essential to a photoshoot running smoothly. And they are often things I can’t bring, so rely on you bringing them to allow you to make the most of your experience in a stress-free way.

So what do you need to bring? There are so many possible answers, and you probably don’t need to bring everything on this list. BUT, bringing a few will make things run smoother. Or reduce stress. Or both. Both for you, your horse, and me as a photographer.

The essentials are:

  • A leather head collar or bridle

  • Plenty of treats, or a scoop of horse feed

  • Accessories that compliment your outfit/s

  • All three outfit changes

  • A helper

And the added bonuses?

  • An extra couple of outfits (just in case)

  • Green stain remover for the grey and coloured horses

  • Baby wipes

  • A spare bridle or head collar

  • Grooming kit. Obviously you’ll have groomed your horse prior to the shoot, but bringing a grooming kit with you is great for touch-ups.

So now you have a list of things to prepare for your shoot.
